Whether you’re a lifelong Hammer or buying for someone who proudly follows the Irons, this mug is a little reminder of why West Ham means so much to its supporters.

A West Ham United Mug Celebrating Hammers History

West Ham’s story began in 1895 as Thames Ironworks FC, before the club became West Ham United in 1900. Those East London industrial roots remain an important part of the club’s identity, reflected in the famous Hammers nickname and the Irons connection.

This West Ham United No.1 Supporter mug brings that history to life through illustrated milestones, football trophies and memorable achievements.

One of the standout references is West Ham’s 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League victory, when Jarrod Bowen’s late winner against Fiorentina in Prague delivered a memorable European trophy for the club.

The design also celebrates the 1965 European Cup Winners’ Cup triumph, when West Ham defeated 1860 Munich at Wembley, along with the club’s Intertoto Cup success in 1999.

Domestic cup history gets its place too, with West Ham’s three famous FA Cup victories in 1964, 1975 and 1980 proudly displayed alongside illustrated trophies.

From the club’s earliest beginnings to unforgettable European celebrations, the artwork offers a snapshot of the moments that have shaped generations of Hammers supporters.

West Ham Legends – Bobby Moore, Billy Bonds and Trevor Brooking

Ask West Ham fans to name their favourite players and certain names will appear time and time again.

This West Ham football mug celebrates three of the club’s most recognisable legends, each representing an important chapter in Hammers history.

Bobby Moore, who played for West Ham between 1958 and 1974, remains one of English football’s most respected figures. The legendary defender captained England to World Cup glory in 1966 and became synonymous with West Ham’s footballing heritage.

Billy Bonds is another true Hammers icon. Representing the club from 1967 to 1988, Bonds made a remarkable 799 league appearances and became a symbol of loyalty, determination and commitment.

The design also recognises Sir Trevor Brooking, whose elegant playing style and long association with West Ham made him a firm favourite among supporters. His winning goal in the 1980 FA Cup final remains one of the club’s most celebrated moments.

There’s also a tribute to Vic Watson, West Ham’s all-time leading goalscorer, who scored 326 league goals for the club.

Together, these names celebrate the players who helped build West Ham’s reputation and created memories still discussed by supporters today.

The London Stadium, East London and Forever Blowing Bubbles

Few football clubs have an identity quite like West Ham United.

From its working-class East London beginnings to the familiar sound of supporters singing I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, the club has a character all of its own.

This Hammers mug features an illustration of the London Stadium, which became West Ham’s home in 2016 after originally opening for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The artwork highlights the stadium’s 62,500-seat capacity and includes an illustrated nod to London’s famous Tower Bridge.

Claret and blue scarves, football boots, stars, trophies and bubbles complete the design, creating a lively collection of recognisable West Ham symbols.

The inclusion of the club’s famous anthem, I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, is particularly fitting. It’s a song that has accompanied generations of supporters through victories, disappointments and everything in between.

There’s even a reference to famous West Ham supporter Ray Winstone, adding another connection to the club’s East London identity.

A West Ham United Gift for Dad, Grandad or Any Hammers Fan

Finding a present for someone who lives and breathes West Ham can be surprisingly difficult, especially when they already own enough claret and blue merchandise to fill a cupboard.

It’s a thoughtful West Ham gift for Dad, particularly if he remembers the glory days of Bobby Moore, Billy Bonds and Trevor Brooking.

For a grandad who has followed the Irons for decades, the references to historic cup victories and legendary players might bring back a few stories from years gone by.

Younger supporters can enjoy the references to West Ham’s recent European success, including the unforgettable 2023 triumph in Prague.

The bold No.1 Supporter message also adds a cheeky bit of footballing pride. After all, every West Ham fan knows they’re the club’s most dedicated supporter, even if thousands of others would happily argue the same thing.

Whether you’re buying for a husband, boyfriend, brother, son, friend or football-mad colleague, it’s a suitable choice for birthdays, Father’s Day, Christmas or simply celebrating someone’s love of the Hammers.
