We recently moved into our new home, and as always there are certain jobs you want to do in any new house when you’ve just moved in, so one of the first things I searched for was a good skip hire company in the Upminster area.
Having searched around the internet I found www.gandrskips.com who are based in Mountnessing and offer local skip hire & recycling in the Essex area. Their skip sizes range from the 2 cubic yard mini skip to the 14 cubic yard large enclosed containers, so we knew they’d have a size suitable for the job we had in mind.
Their hire charges depend on certain factors, such as the type of waste you want to get rid of, which local authority your address comes under, whether or not you need a permit, and then of course the size of the skip you require.
As I don’t often hire skips, reading a measurement size meant nothing to me at all, but luckily G & R Skips have a useful page of information on their skip hire page. As mentioned, their smallest is a 2 yard skip, and their website explains that it would hold approximatley 20-30 bin bags. When they explain it like that, you can visualise how much material you could fit and this really helps you decide which skip you want to hire. If you’re used to seeing builder’s skips and expect something that size, they recommend a 6 or 8 yard skip hire.
Their website also has a brilliant FAQ page, in fact having read that it answered all my questions. If you’re unsure about how long you can have a skip for, or whether you need a permit then G&R Skips FAQ page has some very helpful information.
If you’re looking for a local company that will provide a full range of skips for hire in Hornchurch, Dagenham, Romford & surrounding areas then take a look at their website www.gandrskips.com
