I was looking online for a nice holiday location in Wales for the Easter break this year. After a hunt around the search results, I found a great looking 4-star luxury self-catering holiday home called Lothlorien Cottage – LothlorienCottage.com

Having never spent much time in Wales, I was delighted to find so much on offer around the local area of the cottage. It’s situated in the rural old mining village of Cwmgors, at the base of the Black Mountain and near to the sandy beaches on the Welsh coastline. It’s also near the National Show Caves and Europe’s largest dinosaur park, 2 minutes from a golf course, and 10 minutes to Pontardawe Folk Club, as well as close to many beautiful gardens including The National Botanic Gardens of Wales and Aberglasney House and Gardens.

Providing sleeping accommodation for five people, the self catering holiday cottage has a pretty garden and patio area, and if the weather is not good enough for outdoor dining on the BBQ, it also has a sunny kitchen with dining area, with granite floor. They even have a meadow garden, which opens onto a Wetlands Reserve with views over Mount Cawdor.
The sleeping accommodation features a double room, a twin room, and a single room.

To keep the kids happy during the evenings, the cottage has wireless broadband available throughout, and there is a selection of CD’s and DVD’s.

We’re hoping for some nice walks in the Amman Valley, the Beautiful Vale of Neath and the Brecon Beacons, and after a day out full of fresh air it looks like the ideal warm and welcoming cottage to return to for a very comfortable and luxurious night.
