A friend of mine has always been involved with local drama groups, but he was telling me that he wanted to learn new acting techniques and he had found a website for a group that would help him progress in his acting.
Method Acting has a studio that is based in London and offer to teach individuals method acting, which is based on grounded creative acting techniques.
They offer a few different classes, but the one my friend was interested in was their Main Class, which runs for a four-week period. The course is designed to challenge your acting skills, bringing depth to your work.
If you’re looking for the means to take your acting further, the month-long course will help to give a proper understanding of Method, and the ability to take this away and practice the techniques you’ve learned.
If you’re looking to utilise the potential of your voice and body, then they also offer a Mid Class to strengthen weak voices and muscles. This course runs for 4 weeks on Monday evenings, and with expert instruction of the teaching you can expect to expand your physical and vocal actions and help let you work creatively.
Method Acting publish examples of the work they have secured on their website, and there are plenty of big acting roles, including regulars in Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, plus guest roles in BBC dramas too.
The London studio is well established, having been set up in 2002, and seems like an ideal environment to nurture and challenge the creative potential of your acting skills.
